The website is dedicated to Russian folk tale characters. Even though some of the mentioned characters should be thankful for their birth to individual Russian writers, it is still believed, that without many centuries of folk myths, sincere legends, passed on to each other during dark evenings, the Russian writers would not be capable of accomplishing their work so fruitfully.

Most recent update(20 February, 2004):

- 3 translated Russian tales added to "Essays, articles, stories" section: "Vasilisa The Beautiful", "Maria Morevna", "Tale of The Golden Cockerel".
- 15 images added to "Gallery" section: 11 works by I.Bilibin from the cycle of four Russian tales and Russian scenery and 4 works by Vasnetsov from the cycle of two tales and and mythical characters.

"The characters" section contains the information about Russian mythical and folk characters in alphabetical order.

"Gallery" section contains images of many Russian mythical and folk characters performed by such artists, as Bilibin, Vasnetsov, Vrubel and many others.

"Tales in life(cinema and etcetera)" section contains the information about Russian tales in cinematography ana many related janres.

"Essays, articles, stories and the rest" section contains translated Russian tales, essays and articles on the Russian tales themes and (probably) links.
